Hi! My name is Shannon Jones. I have lived in Bloomington my entire life. Sure, I’d love to live someplace warm, especially with our lovely Indiana winters, but I can’t imagine life without my family nearby.
I am a wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt and photographer. I am married to my high-school sweetheart. We have known each other since grade school. He was even my first kiss, after a basketball game at the old “Dyer” school. (Tri-North) We were blessed with our daughter, Emmalyne Josephine (aka Josie), in 2008, after 13 years of trying, 7 of those years involving infertility treatments. She is named after her Great Grandmother, Emma, myself and my mother’s middle name, Lynn, her Great Great Aunt’s middle name, Emmaline. Josephine is from her Dad’s favorite story, Wyatt Earp. I always wanted my child to be able to have a nickname. I never had one growing up. She is our world! I can’t imagine life without her. She definately keeps me on my toes. You will see a lot of posts here containing her.
I have a photography degree from New York Institute of Photography. I have taken countless classes through Clickinmom’s and still continue to take as many classes as I can. I feel you are never to old to learn something more. This is a craft that you can always learn something from someone! I love to learn.
I am devoted (okay, addicted) to Diet Coke. You will never see me without one close.
I love animals of all kinds. I was in 4-H and showed chickens, pigs and cows. My last year in 4-H, I had the biggest steer in the barn. That 1000lb+ steer drug me from the show ring to the wash rack. I had never seen my Dad run so fast. I was asked why I didn’t let him go. I told Dad, he told me no matter what never let the cow go! See I listen!
I love photographs and family history. I am the keeper of the family photographs, dated as far back as the 1800’s.
A photograph is a legacy to leave behind for future generations. I would love to capture your legacy to leave your future generations. What a great gift to leave to our children and grandchildren!
